3th day is sightseeing. Mr Sun come and pick us up at 830am as we
have a number of places to visit.
彩虹眷村, this place is
painted by the 90 year old man, The colorful building has attracted people to
come and visit. Meet this Ironman in the
rainbow village. He will take photos with you and the photos turn up nice.
中社花海 is about 1 hour drive from彩虹眷村. This place is for people who like flowers. The whole place is filled with all sorts of flowers.
薰衣草森林 is located at a ulu
place. The road is very narrow only allow car to travel on a single lane. 2
directions on a single lane, it is impossible for bus to travel on this road. We
have lunch at Lavender forest café, after the lunch we have ice cream as
dessert.
百菇莊 is a mushroom farm.
Mr Sun recommended us to try their fried mushroom. As usual my friend goes for ice
cream and it is mushroom flavor.
新社古堡 this palace looking
place is packed with people.
This 紙箱王 is the headquarter; while the one at CingJing is the branch. Honey ice cream, ice cream again!!!
Our last stop, is to buy goodies 手信。如邑堂餅家 their sunny cake has won the 1st prize for the past 2 year. Shopping at Ruyi is amazing, we are seated at the table and the staff will bring us their catalog and they will bring us some food to sample. We can request to try item we are interested and they will bring it to our table. I bought the pineapple tart which is made using only pineapple without mixing with melon. If you buy the cheaper pineapple tart they likely to mix it with melon.
We wanted to settle our dinner at Fengjia Night Market. It is 01Jan2016 public holiday, my goodness the night market is packed to the max. It is like walking Chinatown on Chinese New Year Eve. Very hard to change lane or stop and look at things, it is shoulder to shoulder. Packed the food back to hotel to eat.
